Call for Submissions

Fundamatics, the magazine for, and by IIT Bombay alumni announces its call for submissions for its second issue, due for publication on Match 2012. You can send us your submissions at fundamatics@iitbombay.org . Last date for sending in submissions is 5th February 2012.

The March issue of Fundamatics coincides with the Foundation Day, apart from the regular sections we are particularly interested in some ‘lead’ articles on themes fundamental, be it in relation to IIT Bombay, the nation or society at large.

After all Foundation Day at a place like IIT should look at technology and its applications in a more foundational sense. This treatment will enable us to initiate dialogues in which technology is perceived in ideational terms and not merely in technological terms. Technology and technologists in such a scenario are liberated from its current vocabulary and instrumentalist straight jacket to gain an independent voice where he he/she is an unflagging observer of the human condition not just the technological scene.
